Site work and new construction of a recreation facility in Coquitlam, British Columbia. Completed plans call for the construction of a 80,000-square-foot, three-story above grade, 340-space recreation facility.
Construction of a multi-use recreation centre to serve the Burke Mountain Village neighbourhood area. The proposed 7,430-square-metre (80,000-square-foot) Northeast Community Centre (NECC) will include a range of services including aquatics, gymnasiums, fitness, library and community space sized to meet the anticipated demand for recreation and community centre services in the area. TIMELINE: Construction of the Burke Mountain Community Centre is now underway with the official groundbreaking on Tuesday, May 12, 2026. Sub-trades tenders are issued at the construction manager. The community centre and park are expected to open in 2029.
