Site work, paving and new construction of an educational facility in Newport, Rhode Island. Completed plans call for the construction of a 166,875-square-foot, three-story above grade educational facility.
As of November 16, 2022, construction is underway but certain costs are being reevaluated and options are being discussed. A groundbreaking ceremony was held June 17, 2022. Construction is anticipated to be completed by the end of June 2024. The following is for historical reference: All questions shall be emailed to Erin Mulligan, Purchasing Agent no later than 4:00 pm on February 15, 2021 - emulligan@cityofnewport.com Design Firms and/or Teams are hereby solicited by the City of Newport, Rhode Island and the Downes Construction Company, Owners Project Manager, on behalf of Newport Public Schools to acquire DESIGN services for the design and construction administration of a New School (replacement) and related site work at the Rogers High School, located at 15 Wickham Road in Newport, Rhode Island. The school campus will be occupied for normal operations throughout the school calendar with the exception of the new project work area and tennis courts.
