Saving Project...

Site work and new construction of a mixed-use development in York, Ontario. Design plans call for the construction of a day care center; fire / police facility; for site work for a fire / police facility; and day care center.

Construction of a new fire hall and day care centre. The project will facilitate the initial phase of the plan to move the existing fire hall from 260 Adelaide Street West into the southern portion of Metro Hall by relocating the existing daycare facility. The project will involve incorporating the station into another City owned property in proximity to 260 Adelaide frees the site up for redevelopment and allows for a strategic opportunity to leverage its value to achieve significant city building. TIMELINE: Design is complete. Working drawings are expected early 2024. Funding was allocated in the 2021-2030 Approved Capital Budget and Plan for Corporate Real Estate Management. Tender and construction are expected to proceed late 2024/early 2025, pending funding approvals. *Salter Pilon Architecture Inc.in joint venture with Diamond Schmitt Architects.
