Site work, paving and new construction of a mixed-use development in Capitol Heights, Maryland. Conceptual plans call for the construction of a 6,000-square-foot fire / police facility; 4,000-square-foot parking garage; and for site work for a parking garage.

This project consists of a steel frame modular structure that will provide 6,000 SF of space for a Park Police Substation at Walker Mill Regional Park. Amenities include 5 offices, a conference room, a roll call room, a community room, and support spaces. There will also be 4,000 SF of garage space. As March 24, 2023, this project is currently in the FY 2023-2028 CIP. Funding for this project is allotted in the city's capital improvement plan for construction FY 2025. A firm timeline has not been established; however, construction is scheduled for Fiscal Year 2025. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change.
