Site work and renovation of a playground / park / athletic field in Culver City, California. Completed plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field.

**As of January 22, 2020, project is anticipated to start at the end of April or mid May 2020. Estimated cost range is $300,000 - $350,000. The work to be done consists of furnishing materials, tools, labor and incidentals as required in the specifications and contract documents. All other equipment and materials to be purchased by the Contractor. Installation of all equipment, sumps and concrete work to be performed by the contractor.Upon receipt of the notice to proceed issued by the parks division manager/landscape architect, all work to be done under this contract shall be completed within 90 working days beginning from the date the playground equipment is delivered to the site. Questions submitted must be received no later than midnight on thursday 01/09/2020. Responses will be given no later than monday 01/13/2020 by end of business day. Each bidder shall submit a form of bid guaranty such as a money order, a cashier's check, certified check, cash, or surety bond for the sum of ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the bid and made payable to the city of culver city as a guaranty that the bidder, if its bid is accepted, will enter into a satisfactory contract and furnish a bond for the faithful performance thereof, and for the payment of labor and materials costs, and insurance in accordance with the requirements of the contract documents. Bids must be prepared on the forms provided with the bid documents and must be in compliance with the instructions to bidders. The owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids as the best interests of the owner may dictate. Bidders are referred to section b-18 of the Instructions to bidders, for additional qualification Requirements. In accordance with the california labor code, no worker employed in work under contract to the owner shall be paid less than the state of california prevailing wage rates. Contractor shall comply with all Other federal, state and local laws related to labor. Copies of the current prevailing rate of per diem wages are on file in the culver city, city engineer's and city clerk's offices in the city hall and is available for review to any interested person upon request. Any classification not listed therein shall be paid not less than the prevailing wage scale as established for similar work in the culver city area. Said prevailing wage rates are hereby incorporated in and made part of the specifications by this reference, a contractor or subcontractor shall not be qualified to bid on, be listed in a bid proposal, subject to the requirements of section 4104 of the public contract code, or engage in the performance of any contract for public work, as defined in this chapter, unless currently registered and qualified to perform public work pursuant to section 1725.5. It is not a violation of this section for an unregistered contractor to submit a bid that is authorized by section 7029.1 of the business and professions code or by section 10164 or 20103.5 of the public contract code, provided the contractor is registered to perform public work pursuant to section 1725.5 at the time the contract is awarded. All bidders shall be licensed under provisions of chapter 9, division 3 of the business and professions code of the state of california to do the type of work contemplated in the project. In accordance with Provisions of california public contract code section 3300, the owner has determined that the contractor shall possess a valid class b general building contractor, class "a" general engineering contractor or c-27 specialty license at the time that the bid is submitted. Failure to possess the specified license shall render the bid as non-responsive.
