Renovation of an educational facility in Wantagh, New York. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
Non-bidders shall receive partial reimbursement, in an amount equal to the amount of the deposit, less the actual cost of reproduction of the documents if the set is returned in good condition within thirty (30) days following the award of the contract or the rejection of the bids covered by such plans and specifications. Deposits will not be refunded unless the original receipt issued by Nassau BOCES is presented at the time of return. Any Person or corporation proposing to submit a bid must take out a minimum of one (1) set of plans and specifications. Each bidder must deposit with his bid, a Bid Bond or certified check made payable to NASSAU BOCES, in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total amount of the bid. The Contract will be awarded to the lowest responsible Bidder or the proposals will be rejected within 45 days of the date of opening proposals, subject however, to the discretionary right reserved by Nassau BOCES to waive any or all proposals and to advertise for new proposals if, in its opinion, the best interest of Nassau BOCES will thereby be promoted. No bidder shall withdraw his Bid within 45 days after the formal opening thereof. Thereafter, a bidder may withdraw his Bid only in writing and in advance of the actual award.
