The Government is seeking responses from contractors interested and capable of performing the required construction services. No proposals are being requested or accepted. This is not a solicitation and no contact will be awarded from this notice. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this notice. The purpose of this notice is to gain knowledge of interest, capabilities, and qualifications of interested parties including Small Business; 8a; Historically Underutilized Business (HUBZone); Service Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOB); and Women Owned Small Business (WOSB). The Coeur d Alene River Ranger District, Idaho Panhandle National Forests expects to solicit for Burnt Cabin Road 206, road construction, riparian, and stream restoration work in the Burnt Cabin drainage. Work consists of constructing approximately 1.23 miles of road, constructing approximately 0.8 miles of new sections of stream channel and floodplain, and will need to be sequenced to accommodate traffic needs. Road work consists of clearing and grubbing, hauling and decking trees and trees with rootwads to designated decking sites on Road 206, installing culverts, constructing catch basins, placing fill slope riprap and installing a government-provided sign base. Work associated with constructing new sections of stream channel and floodplain may only begin after road construction is complete. Option Item work may be included and consists of rock blasting, watering, and placing surface aggregate. The project area is located in Sections 7, 8, 17, 18 of T.51N. R.1W. of Kootenai County Idaho. From Coeur d'Alene, travel East on Road 268 around Fernan Lake for 10 miles to Fernan Saddle. Continue on Forest Road 612 for 10.7 miles to Forest Road 209, turning left and traveling upriver. Travel 5 miles, turning left on Forest Road 206 and the project location. From Smelterville, travel West on I-90 for 5 miles and take Exit 43 (Kingston). Turn right and travel approximately 5 miles Northeast up the North Fork of the Coeur d'Alene River, turn left on Bumblebee Cut-off and travel approximately 24.6 miles on Forest Road 209 and turn left onto Forest Road 206 which is the start of the project site. Refer to individual plan maps. Estimated Price Range between $500,000 and $1,000,000. The period of performance is anticipated June 2020 to October 1, 2021. Work in the actively flowing channels will only be allowed after July 15th until December 31st of each calendar year The responses shall include: Name of Firm, Point of Contact, mailing address, email address and telephone number.
