Demolition, site work, remodeling, renovation and addition to a transportation facility in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Completed plans call for the addition of a 71,300-square-foot transportation facility; for the demolition of a transportation facility; for the remodel of a 72,300-square-foot transportation facility; for site work for a transportation facility; and for the renovation of a transportation facility.

This project consists of a remodel of and addition to the existing G Concourse. The scope includes architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, and civil work. The approximate 71,300 SF building addition includes a restroom block, and infill of the space between Pods 4 and 5, which provide additional gate lobby, event space, food service, mercantile, two-story rotunda, and an addition of a second story to accommodate a Delta Sky Club. Four new exit stairs, two passenger elevators, moving walk, open stair, and service elevator are also proposed. The approximate 72,300 SF remodel includes removal of existing retail and concessions to provide additional gate lobby space, removal of the existing clerestory, and addition of new concessions. Concession spaces to be by others, not in this contract. The scope of the total project is approximately 143,600 SF. Consistent with Minnesota Statute, Section 473.144, MAC may not accept a bid or proposal for a contract or execute a contract in excess of $100,000 with any business unless said business is in compliance with certain requirements concerning affirmative action plans. Evidence of compliance must be submitted within (1) one MAC business day following opening of bids. Bids will be considered non-responsive if the compliance requirements are not met. Compliance requirements are outlined in the project specification. Each bid shall be accompanied by a "Bid Security" in the form of a certified check made payable to the MAC in the amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the total bid, or a surety bond in the same amount, running to the MAC, with the surety company thereon duly authorized to do business in the State of Minnesota. Such Bid Security to be a guarantee that the bidder will not, without the consent of the MAC, withdraw its bid for a period of (70) days after the opening of bids, and, if awarded the Contract, will enter into a contract with the MAC, and in connection therewith, give Payment and Performance Bonds as required by law and on forms furnished to the Contractor by the MAC. In the event the Bidder fails to enter into a Contract, the amount of the certified check will be retained or the bond enforced by the MAC.
