Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; for the construction of a bridge / tunnel; bridge / tunnel; for outdoor lighting for a bridge / tunnel; bridge / tunnel; water / sewer project; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.

All Bids shall be made on the Invitation for Bids forms included in the Contract Documents and shall include all applicable taxes. Each Bid submitted, either by hand, United States Postal Service, or other carrier, shall be sealed and plainly marked Sealed Bid Proposal, Upper Pinal Creek Bridge and Hill Street Corridor Project. Globe, AZ BID NO. CS-2022-0010. The City of Globe will not be responsible for bids submitted that are not marked appropriately or sent to the wrong address. Scope : This contract consists of construction of a new bridge across Pinal Creek, retaining walls and other erosion protection, realignment of the roadway approaches to the bridge, installation of 6inch and 12-inch water lines and other appurtenances along with bridge lighting, landscaping, signing and striping and the removal and replacement of asphalt pavement, concrete curb and gutter, and sidewalk and the removal existing Connies Bridge between the existing abutments. Refer to Attachment 1 for Upper Pinal Creek Bridge plan set. The contractor shall submit demolition plans to the City for approval prior to beginning removal of the existing structure. Refer to Attachment 2 for an exhibit of the desired removals. Close coordination with Arizona Eastern Railroad will be required as their contractor will be installing the railroad gates and flashers. The second portion of the project will mill and replace the asphalt pavement of Hill Street between Carico Street and Ash Street. This portion of the project includes striping and installation of new sidewalk and ramps. Refer to Attachment 3 for the Hill Street: Carico Street to Ash Street plan set. Contractors are invited to be present at the opening of bids, but absence will not be considered cause for disqualification. Contractors shall be responsible for any licenses or permits required by the regulatory agency of the State of Arizona that apply to the performance of this contract. The City of Globe reserves the right to reject any or all bids, or to accept the lowest, most responsible bid, or to waive any informality in any bid, or to withhold the award if deemed in the best interest of the City of Globe. The City of Globe also reserves the right to hold any or all bids for a period of forty-five (45) days after the date of opening. Bidders will not be allowed to withdraw submitted bids during the forty-five (45) day period.
