As of August 29th, 2022, project was awarded to Waterfront Property Services, LLC dba Gator Dredging, with an awarded amount of $5,658,177.83. The project generally includes the dredging, dewatering and disposal of approximately 57,459 cubic yards of organic sediments from the Sykes Creek Phase I Project Area as described herein and as depicted in the Project Drawings. The dredging shall be accomplished by hydraulic dredging methods. COUNTY is providing an island site located immediately north of the Kiwanis Island Park within the Kiwanis Basin for dredged material management and serve as a permanent disposal area. CONTRACTOR will have full use of the DMMA without charge but will be responsible for the restoration of the DMMA at the completion of the work. The Contractor is responsible for developing various plans for review and approval by the Owner and the Owner's Engineer that include the proposed dredging, dewatering and spoil handling and disposal methods and comply with all applicable Federal, state, and local permits and regulations.
