Award amount: % 353,735.21 Bidders must be qualified under Mississippi State law and possess a Certificate of Responsibility issued by the Mississippi State Board of Public Contractors. Bidders shall include their Certificate of Responsibility number on the exterior of the envelope. Each bidder must deposit with his proposal a Bid Bond or Certified Check in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total Base Bid, payable to Madison Redevelopment Authority as bid security; such security to be forfeited as liquidated damages, not penalty, by any bidder who fails to carry out the terms of the proposal, execute the contract and post a Performance Bond in the form and amount within the specified time. The successful bidder shall furnish a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond each in the amount of 100% of the contract amount awarded. The project generally consists of the demolition of structures at the old Madison Station school, removal of pavements, capping of utilities, grading and erosion control. The Owner hereby notifies all Bidders that it will affirmatively insure that disadvantaged and woman-owned business enterprises will be afforded the full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation.
