This work is to be bid only by KUB pre-qualified contractors in the following area: 4.2 Gas Utility Construction, Unlimited. Bids will not be accepted from contractors who are not pre-qualified in the above-mentioned category prior to the bid opening. Cut off for questions at 12:00 PM, December 12. Issue addendum, if required, by 4:00 PM, on December 13, 2019 Award project on or before December 20, 2019. Notice to Proceed January 2020. Required Substantial Completion is no later than August 31, 2020. All communications concerning this project shall be addressed to the proper individuals identified in section 00330-3 of the Project Manual.

Work shall include of approximately 23,350 LF of 8" HDPE gas main, 1,485 of 2" MDPE, and 500 LF of 8" MDPE along Norris Freeway and E Raccoon Valley Dr. to be installed by open cut trenching and horizontal directional drilling, and all associated valves, fittings, tie-ins, and appurtenances. Included in the pipe footage is an HDD of: Norris Freeway at Pelleaux Rd. Norris Freeway at Weaver Cemetery Rd. Bull Run Creek at Norris Freeway Norris Freeway at Old Raccoon Valley Dr. I-75 south of E Raccoon Valley Dr. The work shall be completed in strict accordance with the drawings and the Contract Documents. All HDPE fittings shall be rated to an MAOP of 125 psig. Contractor will provide all labor, materials, equipment, and incidentals as required to restore the Site to a condition equal to or better than the Site condition which existed prior to the initiation of the Work activities.
