Work includes secondary and disinfection treatment improvements generally including replacing Aeration Tank Nos. 1 through 4 Pass 2 influent gates and Aeration Tank No. 4 drain gates, replacing aeration influent channel stop log, and lengthening aeration tank effluent weirs; replacing Final Clarifier Nos. 4 and 5 circular clarifier equipment and effluent troughs, structural rehabilitation, and replacing railing; expanding disinfection capacity by adding evaporators and scrubber and replacing associated feed equipment, piping and appurtenances; associated instrumentation and control and electrical modifications associated with the above improvements; and miscellaneous demolition and site work at the Wastewater Treatment Plant in South Bend, all more particularly described in plans and specifications prepared by Arcadis U.S., Inc. (317-231-6500) and subconsultant Donohue & Associates, Inc. Electronic bids must be on the City of South Bend Contractor's Bid for Public Work Form, accompanied by a Certified Check or Bid Bond in the amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the base bid plus any alternates. The awarded bidder will be required to send the original check or bid bond via USPS.
