Demolition and site work for a water / sewer project in Rockaway, New Jersey. Completed plans call for the demolition of a water / sewer project; and for site work for a water / sewer project.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS OF BIDDERS: Bidders shall demonstrate successful construction of a minimum of two (2) dam removal AND two (2) stream restoration projects in the past ten (10) years of similar size and complexity and involving water control and cofferdams; Lake dewatering, excavation, and containment of impounded sediment; and creation of natural stream channels. No bids will be accepted after the date and time designated to receive bids. A bid may be withdrawn prior to the time for opening of bids or authorized postponement upon written application of the Bidder who shall be required to produce evidence showing that individual is or represents the principal or principals involved in the bid. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after bids have been opened. The work is located off Green Pond Road in Rockaway, New Jersey The work generally consists of the following: 1. Completing the work of this contract in strict accordance with the Permitting requirements; 2. Protection of the environment and areas outside the work area; 3. Select removal of vegetation; 4. Select removal of trees; 5. Control of water and controlled, partial draining of lake; 6. Demolition of dam; 7. Construction of new weir; 8. Grading; 9. Stream restoration; 10. Sediment removal; 11. Plantings; and 12. Habitat restoration among other work
