Projects may include building or facility restoration, remodel, reconfiguration, new work, demolition, temporary installations, mitigation of hazards and maintenance related work. Subcontractors may be used for specialty work. For each Work Authorization, the Contractor shall provide labor, materials, equipment and incidentals necessary for the work. This contract does not include work for asbestos containing materials (ACM). Recycling of waste from the projects and use of recycled products is encouraged. B. At the time of bid, the Port of Seattle is unable to determine the precise schedule, scope or dollar amount of the Work that may be performed under this contract. The total amount of the work shall not exceed $300,000.00, including Washington State Sales Tax. The Port of Seattle does not guarantee any minimum amount of work or that the value of the Work Authorizations issued under this Contract will total exactly $300,000.00. C. The Construction Manager will assign time and material work under this contract to the Contractor via written Work Authorizations. Each Work Authorization will describe the scope of work to be completed as well as the time for completion. The work detailed in each Work Authorization shall be performed as directed in the Work Authorization and in accordance with the Specifications herein and all applicable federal, state and local regulations. Examples of previous work authorization scope of work: painting, elevator upgrades, tile install, roofing, lagoon liner repairs, space conversions. D. The dollar amount of each Work Authorization will be based on a time and material estimate provided to the Construction Manager by the Contractor at the rates and markups bid on Document 00 41 00 Schedule of Unit Prices. The Contractor will be compensated for actual costs at the rates and markups indicated in the contract bid Document 00 41 00 Schedule of Unit Prices. No bid bond is required.
