The bid guaranty is required by the CITY as evidence of good faith and as a guarantee that if awarded the contract, the BIDDER shall execute the Contract and furnish the required bonds and evidence of insurance within ten (10) days after receipt of the awarded contract. The successful bidder must furnish Performance Bond and Payment Bond, each in the amount of 100 percent (100%) of the contract price, from an approved Surety company holding a permit from the State of Texas to act as surety, and acceptable according to the latest list of companies holding Certificates of Authority from the Secretary of the Treasury of the United States, or another Surety acceptable to the City. Phased demolition of two existing pump station buildings and associated yard piping. 2. Construction and commissioning of new water distribution system pump station tied into existing ground storage tank piping and distribution system piping. Provide temporary pumping system and disinfect ground storage tanks and piping as required during construction. 3. New backup power generator. 4. Electrical work to provide power and control wiring to the new facilities. 5. Fencing modifications including new motorized sliding gate. 6. Concrete repair and driveway improvements at the new pump station.
