The County Road 93 North Secondary Plan area is identified as primarily along County Road 93, Vindin Street and Golf Link Road. The total Secondary Plan area is comprised of 60 properties representing approximately 290 hectares (716 acres) of land in the northwest quadrant of the Town. The area is within a secondary plan overlay designation and designated primarily as restricted rural with four properties designated Employment Area for which the designations recognize existing and longstanding businesses in the broader Secondary Plan area. Land uses are vacant lands, rural residential, scattered commercial operations and the largest land use being the Midland Golf and Country Club at 70 hectares. County Road 93 and Vindin Street are Arterial Roads in the Town Official Plan with Golf Link Road being designated as a Collector Road. TIMELINE: The Town of Midland County Road 93 North Secondary Plan Study has been completed by the consultant and forwarded to the owner for approval. The study focuses on a full investigation and analysis of the natural heritage features and functions and, through that process, define developable and non-developable lands within the Study area. At the same time, the study will evaluate and determine the growth, both residential and employment, that should be accommodated in the study area. No construction projects have resulted directly from this study. The method of contractor selection has not been determined at this time.
