Pre-qualification Required - Yes. The project is located on Thayer Street between S. Milwaukee Street and the railroad tracks, Appleton Street between Thayer Street and Beth Circle, and Cold Storage between Appleton Street and the termini to the east. A brief description of the Bid work for the above contract includes : Major work items and approximate quantities for which bids are requested include: 5,600 square yards of asphaltic milling, 3,240 linear feet of 8-inch water main, 255 linear feet of 1-inch water service, 200 linear feet of bored 1-1/2-inch water service, 555 linear feet of 8-inch sanitary sewer, 3 each sanitary manholes, 2690 linear feet of sanitary mainline relining, 512 linear feet of storm sewer, 3,820 linear feet of curb and gutter, 21,415 square feet of concrete sidewalk, 84 inch diameter of clearing and grubbing, 770 SF of modular block retaining wall, 3,785 tons of HMA pavement and 5,635 square yards of restoration. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive or not waive any informality in the bids received and to accept any proposal, which they deem most favorable to the interests of the Owner. The City will only consider Bids from Bidders who accompany them with a Bid Bond, payable to the City of Plymouth, in the amount not less than five percent (5%) nor more than ten percent (10%) of the Bid. This requirement serves to guarantee that, if the City accepts the Bid, the selected Contractor will execute and deliver the proper Contract Agreement and Bonds within 15 calendar days after the Notice of Award by the City. Failure to return these documents within this prescribed time will result in forfeiture, to the City of Greenfield, of the selected Contractor's Bid Bond, as liquidated damages. Bidders shall submit Bids in a sealed envelope, addressed to City Clerk, City of Plymouth, Wisconsin. Each sealed envelope containing a BID must be plainly marked on the outside as 2020 Street Program and the envelope should bear on the outside the name of the BIDDER, his/her address, and his/her license number if applicable. If forwarded by mail, the sealed envelope containing the BID must be enclosed in another envelope addressed to City Clerk, City Hall, 128 Smith St. - P.O. Box 107, Plymouth, WI 53073-0107. All bids shall be submitted on the bidding forms provided in the Contract Documents. Bidders should pay attention to the requirements for Bid signatures, as set forth in Bid Security. Bidders may not withdraw their Bids within the 30-day period after the date of the Bid Opening.
