This action is being solicited pursuant to FAR Part 14 as an Invitation for Bid (IFB). This solicitation is an unrestricted procurement under North American Industry Classification (NAICS) Code is 237990 Other Heavy and Civil Engineering Construction. Project magnitude is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. Failure to submit a bid on all items shall result in rejection of the bid. The work includes the phased construction of grading, subgrade preparation, liner installation, downslope channels, access roads, and temporary culverts on the East Gypsum Stack. Phase 1B (Drawing C-050) is the Construction Plan and includes the following: a. Prepare EGS subgrade for synthetic turf cover system placement. Grade side slopes, benches, downslope channels and access roads of the western face of the EGS. b. Construct temporary gypsum berms bridging the south Water Return Ditch (WRD) for HDPE culvert installation. c. Install HDPE culverts to convey Stormwater runoff collecting in the micro detention at the EGS baseline through south WRD and under Access Road #2 before discharging to the existing drainage channel along the southern boundary of the MPC Environmental Trust Parcel. Install HDPE culverts through gypsum berms connecting the WRD cells. d. Place synthetic turf cover system over the southern face of the EGS prepared subgrade. See sheet C-500 for details.
