The timeline for a award is not yet determined.** Project Location: Corner of Grand & Washington Streets Wallingford, CT 06492 The Park and Recreation Department is seeking bids for Grand Street Park Playground Equipment and Installation. Clarification Deadline: 2/10/2020 5:00 PM Questions concerning this contract proposal and work prescribed are to be submitted electronically. All inquiries will be responded to via written addendum. Oral questions may be asked at the pre-bid meeting, but oral responses given by the Owner or their representative shall not be binding unless such interpretations, responses and supplemental instructions are confirmed by written addenda. All such modifications shall be included in the work covered by the bid and shall become a part of this contract. The Purchasing Agent reserves the right to amend and/or cancel the bid invitation prior to the time and date of the bid opening. The Town is seeking bids for the purchase and installation of playground equipment that is made from recycled plastic. All equipment needs to meet the performance and material specifications as manufactured and shall meet IPEMA's third-party product certification. Installers shall be experienced and approved by manufacturer for both installation and service of the type of equipment required for this Project. The Town intends to award the bid to the responsive and responsible bidder offering the lowest total cost installed. State law requires a minimum of twenty-five (25%) percent of the state-funded portion of the contract for award to subcontractors holding current certification from the Connecticut Department of Administrative Services ("DAS") under the provisions of CONN. GEN. STAT. 4a-60g, as amended. (25% of the work with DAS certified Small and Minority owned businesses and 25% of that work with DAS certified Minority, Women and/or Disabled owned businesses.) The contractor must demonstrate good faith effort to meet the 25% set-aside goals.
