Renovation of a water / sewer project in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.
This work consists of pump and motor replacements at Booster D Station. Substantial Completion Date: November 29, 2020 Final Completion Date: December 31, 2020 Bidders and subcontractors must comply with the City of Grand Rapids prequalification and certification requirements. The successful bidder for the above project may not discriminate against any employee or job applicant in any matter related to employment because of race, creed, color, national origin, sex, handicap, age, or marital status, and the successful bidder will be required to insert that provision in all subcontracts relating to the project. The successful bidder will be required to have a policy regarding Drug Free Work Place and certify to the City that this policy is in place. A certified check or bid bond for a sum not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the Bid will be required with each bid. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of 45 calendar days after the date and time for receiving bids. The City reserves the right to accept or reject any and all Bids; to reject the Bid of a Bidder who is not, in the opinion of the Engineer or City, in a position to perform the contract; to waive informalities, irregularities and technicalities; to reject any and all non-conforming, non-responsive, unbalanced [unreasonable unit price(s)] or conditional Bids; or to advertise for new Bids. The City also reserves the right to award the Contract in the City's best interest, and therefore, may select a Bidder other than the lowest
