The objective of this RFP is to provide all labour, material, equipment and services required for replacing a diesel-powered generator at the Pond Inlet power plant. The G4 genset, including all auxiliary equipment, is scheduled for replacement in summer 2020. The genset replacement will require replacement of the main protection relay, upgrades to the control circuits and other electrical devices. Genset #4 cooling, fuel, heat recovery and compressed air start systems and with associated piping also need to be replaced and upgraded to accommodate the new genset. A new heat recovery of engine jacket water will need to be incorporated into the plant heating system. In addition, various supports and structures also require modification and/or fabrication to accommodate the new genset, piping and its auxiliary equipment. The overview of work requirements includes the following, which are fully detailed in the attached Scope of Work: Planning, design, supply and fabrication of replacement of diesel powered generator and its ancillaries Supply, and delivery of materials, including generator set with a capacity of 550 kW (FOB Pond Inlet power plant) and delivery time schedule for the design, manufacture and install of the above-mentioned genset including transportation to the worksite, loading and unloading.
