As of February 23, 2022, design is still ongoing. This project plans to bid out in 2023. *The previous solicitation is listed below for reference. ---- The project will provide construction plans for the widening/reconstruction of the existing two-lane Boggy Creek Road from Simpson Road to Narcoossee Road, a distance of approximately 5.9-miles. The scope contains two parts, Part 'A' is an alternatives study to consider different alignments and/or typical sections and includes a public meeting, and Part 'B' is the design for the preferred alternative. The project includes construction of a four-lane divided roadway with multimodal accommodations, as determined in the alternatives study, associated drainage improvements and storm water ponds, modification of the signalized intersections at Nele Road, Turnberry Boulevard. and CR 15 (Narcoossee Road), upgrading the Intelligent Transportation System, modification/replacement of the triple box culvert over Jim Branch Creek, street lighting and landscaping considerations. There are no bridges or railroad crossings along the project. The design shall adhere to all applicable Federal, State and County regulations and be in accordance with the Florida Design Manual (FDM). The Consultant shall review and summarize related studies/reports and incorporate their results in the design. The Consultant shall coordinate work activities with any completed/ongoing/planned projects that may affect this project. This includes but is not limited to the Orange County project to widen Boggy Creek Rd from the Orange/Osceola County line to SR 417 (Orange County CIP # 5085) and Simpson Road widening from Osceola Parkway to Boggy Creek Road (Osceola County CIP # 7011 ).
