The project consists for the provision of all labor, equipment, and materials necessary for the following work: 2020 Road Reconstruction Program (Plans Prepared by Strand Associates) 1. Replacement of approximately 6 water valves. 2. Common Excavation of approximately 11,000 cubic yards, 3. 975 linear feet Storm Sewer, 49 Structures, 4. Placing approximately 4,750 tons of proposed HMA Street with 12,000 tons aggregate base, 5. Construction of approximately 10,200 feet of Concrete Curb and Gutter, 6. Removal and Replacement of 2,220 square yards Concrete Driveway Approaches, 7. Landscape restoration of 4,300 square yards terraces using Sod and topsoil, removal of 700-inch diameter of trees, and planting 37 trees. 8. 650 linear feet of water main, 14 service connections, 6 fire hydrants, and 2 valves. Bids shall be accompanied by a bid bond or certified check payable to the Village of Shorewood equal to 5% of the largest possible total bid. The successful bidder's failure to execute the contract and furnish the performance bond within 10 days after the award shall cause the bid bond or check to be forfeited to the Village as liquidated damages in accordance with Section 62.15(3) of the Wisconsin Statutes. A recommendation will be made to the Village Board at its meeting on February 17, 2020. Award will be made to the lowest and most responsible bidder. The Village of Shorewood reserves the right to accept any bid most advantageous to the Village, waive any technicality, or reject any or all bids. No bid shall be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after the bid opening date without the consent of the Village.
