Renovation of a water / sewer project in Stickney, Illinois. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.

**As of 3/9/2020 Project has no awards yet time frame and approval will nbe this coming March 19 ,2020 Board Meeting . Tenders are invited to provideBoilermakers, Electrical Mechanics, Laborers, Machinists, Hoisting Engineers, Carpenters, Pipefitters, Architectural Ironworkers, Structural Ironworkers, Pipecoverers, Plumbers, Bricklayers, Truck Drivers, Painters, Electrical Instrument and Testing Mechanics, Sheetmetal Workers, and other classifications of labor, if needed, and necessary supervision together with tools and materials for necessary repairs and alterations to boilers, steam generating units, duct work, pumps, blowers and various sewage and sludge handling equipment at the Stickney, O'Brienand Calumet Water Reclamation Plants and other installations of the Water Reclamation District. The major portion of the work is at the Stickney Water Reclamation Plant. The Contract is scheduled to cover twenty-four months. For purposes of classification, the Contract is divided into thirty items, allof which are for bidding,as set forth in the Proposal. Bidders must submita bid for allthirty itemsor the bid will be considered nonresponsive and rejected.The District intend to award one Contract to one bidder for all the work to be performed.There is no bid deposit for this Contract. The District assumes no responsibility for documents sent through the mail. Further, the District assumes no liability or responsibility for the failure or inability of any Bidder to successfully download any and all contract documents, including but not limited to specifications, proposal forms and/or plans, as a result of any type of technological computer and/or software system failure or breakdown that restricts, prohibits or prevents successful downloading of any and all District contract documents bythe Bidder, whether caused by the District or other parties, directly or indirectly. Prior to award of the Contract, the lowest responsible bidder must demonstrate compliance with the MWRDGC 2017 Cook County Multi-ProjectLabor Agreement by submitting to the Director of Procurement and Materials Managementa signed Certification of Compliance with the Multi-Project LaborAgreement. The Agreement and Certificate of Compliance are contained in the Contract document. The Bidders agree to fulfill the Special Training Provisions for Apprentices as specified in the Appendix K (attached)Affirmative Action Requirements and to provide training opportunities throughout the life of the Contract. The requirements of the Special Training Provisions for Apprentices are 4,600 minority hours and 1,620 female hoursfor purposes of this Contract. Bidders shall take special note of the stipulations on page R-2, paragraph 6, in regards to questions on this Contract.The District does not guarantee the timeliness of responses provided online, nor does the District guarantee that such responses will be provided in adequate time to affect the submission of bids. The District shall provide responses online ONLY if the responses do not interpret or otherwise change the bidding documents.The District's responses online are NOT official responses and, therefore, are not binding to the bidding documents. Any official interpretation or change to the bidding documents will be made only by addenda duly issued to all plan holders on record by the Director of Procurement and Materials Management. The District will only respond to questions received online up to ONE WEEK prior to the bid opening date of the bidding documents. The District will not respond to questions received after this date.The contactperson for this Contract is Mr. Edward Jankun. Mr. Jankun will provide online responses to online inquiries. The Metropolitan Water Reclamation District of Greater Chicago reserves the right to reject any or all Proposals. Goals -are 20% MBE, 10% WBE and 10% SBE AND 3% VBE.
