Saving Project...

Renovation of a medical facility in Salt Lake City, Utah. Completed plans call for the renovation of a medical facility.

This project will remove old standard finishes, fixtures, and furniture that are out of date, unsafe and in poor condition. The current standard finishes approved by the Aesthetics Standards Committee will replace the past standards. - Upgrade flooring, paint, wall protection, millwork, lighting, and doors - Introduce designs throughout the hospital to support wayfinding and UUHC branding. Pre-Construction Services: - Schematic and Construction level estimates for each major phase of construction. - Coordinate between CMGC and A/E Consultant on developing and implementing construction phase plans. - Master schedule development and support for procurement, shutdowns, FF&E, construction etc., as well as timing and content of communication plan. - CMGC should anticipate 80 hours of Pre-Construction Services. - The selection of pre-qualified pool of sub-contractors (after the contract has been executed the CMGC and the Hospital will jointly identify the pool of pre-qualified contractors for each major category of work). A Hospital PM will be assigned to assist with CMGC mobilization. The Hospital PM will be the single point of contact for CMGC and will coordinate staging and material laydown space, office touchdown space, etc. as necessary for the scope and duration of phases. The CMGC will not need to demobilize from site between phases. The University is looking for a set team who will perform their roles for the entirety of the project, i.e. all phases of the project Project Contact: Angela Raymond, Phone: 801-927-7442 email: angela.raymond@hsc.utah.edu A Bid Bond in the amount of five percent (5%) of the FLCC, made payable to the University of Utah shall accompany the cost proposal. Effective September 10, 2018, the University has retired the previous state mandated Surety Bond Forms and is now requiring the use of the AIA Bid Bond Form A310-2010 and Performance and Payment Bond Form A312-2010. Risks include working in an operating patient care environment requiring ICRA and phasing of construction to minimize the impact on the patients and staff. The objective of the aesthetic upgrades is not to remodel the architectural elements of the space, but there are instances in which failing to address obvious workflow issues would undermine patient care. Risks of extending beyond the scope of the work as intended causes increase to the budget. Risks with remodeling existing spaces are the unknowns that become apparent during construction. Anticipating and investigating the conditions is the best way to mitigate these risks. The University of Utah reserves the right to reject any or all proposals or to waive any formality or technicality in any proposal in the interest of the University.
