As of May 28, 2021, site work began in mid-March 2021. *The previous solicitation is listed below for reference. --- The Town of Brookfield (Town), through its Municipal Building Committee (MBC) is seeking to engage a construction management firm to provide "Construction Management-at Risk" (CMR) services for the construction of a New Elementary School as per the attached documents. The assignment will be a modified version of traditional Construction Manager-at-Risk (CMR) services concerning the construction of a new PK-5 Elementary School on the existing Huckleberry Hill Elementary School site, while school activities continue within the adjacent building. In addition to construction related to the new building, work will include environmental remediation and/or abatement, demolition of the existing school, parking, drives and playing fields. The CMR will provide overall coordination, phasing, estimating and constructability reviews for the assignment while working in collaboration with the Owner's Project Manager (Project Manager or OPM). The Owner, the Town of Brookfield, will hold all trade contracts. As the District's anticipated enrollment has risen since the Ed Specs were published, the new school will serve a Pre-Kindergarten through Grade 5 population of approximately 1266 students and will total approximately 157,000 square feet. The total project cost, inclusive of soft costs, is approximately $78 million. The selected CMR shall provide payment and performance bonds from the surety in the amount of 100% of the GMP.
