Bids will be received for installation of a Fire Station Alerting System in the existing Fire Station located at 514 East 4th St, in Marshfield, WI. The scope of the work includes 1) Provide all labor, tools, equipment, wiring, hangers, conduit, tie boxes and incidentals necessary for complete installation of the system. System components will be supplied by others. 2) Remove all components, wiring, and incidentals of existing Fire Station Alerting System that are no longer needed. No bid may be withdrawn by the Bidder for a period of forty five (45) days following the date of the bid opening, within which time the contract will be awarded by the Common Council. All bids shall be accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check or bid bond equal to at least five percent (5%) of the total bid as a guarantee that, if the bid is accepted, the bidder will execute and file the proper contracts and a 100% Performance Bond with the City within one week after the award of the bid. If the successful bidder so fails to file such contract the amount of the check or bid bond shall be forfeited to the City as liquidated damages. Successful contractor shall obtain and pay for all necessary permits and licenses. The Board of Public Works reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive informalities in bidding, and to accept the bid deemed most advantageous to the City of Marshfield.
