Renovation of a water / sewer project in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.
For Thickened Sludge Pump Nos. 1, 2 and 5 Replacement at South Shore Water Reclamation Facility The project contemplated consists of replacement of three (3) positive displacement progressing cavity thickened sludge pumps and associated equipment. The equipment (thickened sludge pump nos. 1, 2 and 5) are located within the Sludge Dewatering Building (Building 359) of the South Shore Water Reclamation Facility (SSWRF). The Bid consists of the following work in general: Remove and dispose of the three (3) existing pump motors and pumps, Remove the three (3) existing gear reducers for service/maintenance, Remove and dispose of the motor-to-gear reducer couplings and gear reducer-to-pump couplings from the three (3) pump assemblies, Prepare and epoxy coat the three (3) existing pump assembly baseplates, Furnish and install three (3) new pumps on the existing newly painted baseplates, Service three (3) existing gear reducers. Install on existing newly painted baseplates, Furnish and install three (3) new electrical pump motors on the existing newly painted baseplates, Connect, align and balance the new motors, existing (newly serviced) gear reducers, new pumps, and new couplings, Connect the existing seal flush water supply to the three (3) new pump seals for seal lubrication. Procure all necessary piping and pipe fittings to connect the seal flush water, Complete 7-day test run for each of the three (3) pumps, Complete all other work described in the specifications and as necessary to complete the project.
