The original solicitation is included below: DFCM Construction-UU Medical Education and Discovery Building (MED X)-18343750- VBS CM/GC This Construction Management/ General Contractor (CM/GC) project includes preconstruction and full construction services for the construction of the University of Utah Medical Education and Discovery Building(MEDX). The project will include an ewbuilding of approximately 250,000 GSF, dispersed multi levels with areas specifically covering the School of Medicine(SOM), the Center for Medical Innovation(CMI), and the Global Health Institute. The location of the building is to the north of the College of Nursing Building and to the east of the Children's Special Health Care Needs Building. This project is currently planned to extend over 1900 Eastand will result in that road being closed. The work includes connections to the College of Nursing and the Eccles Health Science Library and will include associated on and off-site improvements. The initial contract, a professional services agreement, will be for preconstruction services only. Any design assist subcontractor preconstruction fees, which would be in addition to the CM/GC preconstruction fee, will be carried within this contract and no fees beyond the liability insurance will be allowed. These costs will all be considered as part of the total FLCC. A bid bond in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid amount, made payable to the Division of Facilities Construction and Management on the AIA Document A310 - 2010 Bid Bond, or equivalent shall accompany the Cost Proposal delivered to DFCM, Taylorsville State Office Building Third Floor, 4315 South 2700 West, Salt Lake City, Utah 84129.
