Site work for a water / sewer project in Mount Sinai, New York. Conceptual plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
A CFA Grant application has been submitted. This is the plan if the grant is not awarded to the Town: A new concrete boat ramp is required. The proposed boat ramp will be approximately 90' wide by 125' long to match the existing. The work will require a temporary cofferdam to be constructed, and the work area dewatered. The existing ramp and base material will be removed, and a new 6-inch thick aggregate base will be prepared. The new ramp will be 6-inch to 9-inch thick reinforced concrete with grooved herringbone-pattern surface finish in accordance with the referenced Army Corps Engineering Manual. As of May 23, 2024, this project is currently in the FY 2025-2029 CIP. Information regarding a design firm and the general contractor selection timeline has not been disclosed. Although a firm timeline for construction has not been determined, construction is not expected to start prior to late 2026. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change.
