Demolition, site work, renovation and addition to a municipal facility in Branson, Missouri. Completed plans call for the addition of a municipal facility; for the demolition of a municipal facility; for the renovation of a municipal facility; and for site work for a municipal facility.
As of December 9, 2024, per owner this project is being done internally. The City of Branson is requesting architectural design qualifications for preliminary and final design and bid document preparation for the proposed expansion of the Utilities Department Operations and Maintenance facility. The project is on city-owned land at the Cooper Creek wastewater treatment plant. The existing facility contains shop space, offices, shower and restroom facilities, lunchroom and equipment, and vehicle storage within a 120' x 60' prefabricated metal building. The City desires additional space for equipment and material storage. Alternatives include extending an additional bay(s) to the existing building and constructing a separate prefabricated building with an approximate size of 50' X 100'. A free-standing canopy-covered pipe rack design would also be provided. The city would like to bid the above alternatives as bid alternates. The city will then award all or part of the bid alternates, within the constraints of the available project. The site work for the project includes the possible removal of a small agricultural building. Prior to removal, the City would like to confirm if there is any historical significance to the building. Determination will require a cultural resource study. The scope of work includes preliminary design services, preparation of construction bid documents and construction support services. The cultural resource study will be part of this work. The architect will be the lead consultant and will contract all sub-consultant services as necessary for structural, civil mechanical, electrical, plumbing and geotechnical engineering services. A field survey will also be required to provide topographic information for the civil design. The cultural resource study may be prepared by a sub-consultant to the architect.
