A timeline for the request for Proposals has not yet been released. New Jersey Transit Corporation (NJ TRANSIT) is requesting proposals from qualified consulting firms to perform construction management (CM) services for the Lyndhurst Train Station Replacement Project (the "Project"). The goal of this RFP is to engage a Construction Management Consultant (Consultant) to manage the Construction Contractor's activities and all ancillary requirements for the Lyndhurst Train Station Replacement Project. All firms submitting Proposals for this project must have related experience of a similar magnitude. NJ TRANSIT is requesting Proposals from firms with the intention of awarding a contract to the organization(s) whose qualifications and Proposal offers the best value to NJ TRANSIT. This project is subject to the provisions of the Division of Revenue and Enterprise Services Business Registration Certification Act (N.J.S.A. 52:32-44). Consultants or Subconsultants shall not engage in the performance of any work unless the Consultant or Subconsultant is registered with the Division of Revenue and Enterprise Services within the Department of Treasury. The successful Proposer will be required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. and N.J.A.C. 17:27 etseq. regarding Equal Employment Opportunity Laws and Regulations. Disadvantaged Business Enterprises, in accordance with the Department of Transportation (DOT) Regulations 49 C.F.R., Part 26, shall have the maximum opportunity to participate in the performance of this contract. A twenty one percent (21%) Race Conscious DBE goal has been assigned to this project. All bids, proposals, contracts, laws and related documentation will be subject to the financial assistance contract between the project sponsor and the U.S. Department of Transportation, under the Federal Transit Act of 1964, as amended, based upon availability of funds. The Lyndhurst Train Station is located at Delafield Avenue and Court Avenue in the city of Lyndhurst, Bergen County, New Jersey. This facility plays a significant role in the train service for NJ TRANSIT rail serving the northern New Jersey area on the Boonton Branch.
