General work description: Design, furnish, and install shoring, to remain in place, in various locations to support the structure of the existing building formerly known as the YWCA located at 79 Marengo Ave, Pasadena CA. City of Pasadena all labor, materials, methods and processes, tools, implements and machinery which are necessary and required for the performance of the work mentioned in said Notice Inviting Bids in accordance with the Specifications therein referred to at the prices listed on page BP-2 inclusive. Each bidder must bid on each item shown in the Bidder's Proposal. If any bidder shall make any alteration, interlineation, or deviation in any of the printed matter of the proposal or if the signature of the bidder is incomplete, or if any portion of the Bid is incomplete, the bid will be considered informal and may be rejected. The prices bid on the following items include any and all charges required under the California Retail Sales Tax Act of 1933, as amended, and/or the Use Tax Act of 1935 of said State. In case of a discrepancy between the unit prices and item totals, the unit prices shall prevail, and in case of a discrepancy between item totals and the grand total, the item totals shall prevail. The grand total will be subject to adjustment by the City in the event of a discrepancy. The undersigned Bidder agrees to commence work within fifteen (15) calendar days from the date of issuance of a Notice to Proceed and proposes and agrees to have all work completed within FIFTEEN (15) working days after contract time commences. The contract award shall be made on the basis of the grand total as described above from among responsive and responsible bidders. Based on the bids received and the Citys budget at the time of contract award, the City reserves the right to delete items or to change quantities of bid items.
