Provide a new timber footbridge (approximately 125 linear feet) in Deer Park. Project scope includes demolition of the remaining portions of the existing timber footbridge and piles and installing a new timber footbridge with timber piles. All questions shall be submitted in writing (email is preferred). Telephone inquiries will not be accepted. This project will consist of replacing the existing pedestrian bridge. The proposed bridge will be located along a similar alignment as the existing bridge planned for demolition. The
proposed bridge will be a wooden bridge supported by timber piles with span lengths on the order of 10 to 15 feet and two piles per bent with an overall length of roughly 150 feet The
bridge will span over a small creek that discharges into Deer Park Lake and an adjacent flood plain/wetland area. The proposed pedestrian bridge will be of similar design to the existing bridge planned for demolition, but with a slightly wider deck (about 8 to 10 feet wide) to accommodate occasional ATV traffic. The required pile capacity for these timber piles is not known at the time of this reporting, but is expected to on the order of about 5 tons or less.
