The School of Public Health and Psychiatric Institute (SPHPI) consists of a twelve-story building located on the west side of UICs campus. Built in 1957, it was originally used as a hospital and is currently utilized for animal research, education, and administration. Facade: Rebuild damaged bricks that have been pulled away from existing masonry substrate, replace damaged steel lintels, tuckpoint 100% of the building. Roof: Replace all fourteen (14) roof-areas with Modified Bitumen Roofing System and R30 insulation. Window/Interior: Replace all 626 windows with fixed insulated energy efficient windows. Repair all finishes that have been damaged by moisture / water. Curtain wall / Storefront: Wet-seal 100% of the curtain wall. Replace storefront at the west-end and at the south side of the building.
