As of February 14 the project will be awarded at city council on 3/31/22. The Work to be performed under this Contract shall consist of furnishing all tools, equipment, materials, labor, supplies, and manufactured articles as required by the plans (Drawing Number 20-23A, Sheets 1-10), Specifications, and Contract Documents. The Project scope of work is to remove an existing retaining wall structure, install a replacement soldier pile and timber lagging retaining wall, excavation and grading, storm water conveyance facilitties, utility relocations and abandonments and chain link fencing installation., It shall also include the furnishing of all transportation and service, including fuel, power, and essential communications, and for the performance of all labor, work, or other operations required for the fulfillment of the Contract in strict accordance with the Contract Documents, per specifications. Bids must be accompanied by a Bid Bond on the form included in the ContractDocuments, cash, or a certified or cashier's check in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the submitted Total Bid Price. Special arrangements must be made by prospective bidders, in advance, should a bid be accompanied by cash, certified check or cashier's check by contacting the City Clerk Department at (805) 449-2151 no less than seven (7) days in advance of bid submission deadline. The successful bidder will be required to furnish the City with requisite insurance andPayment and Performance Bonds on the forms included in the contract documents equal to 100% of the Contract Price. All questions must be received at least 7 calendar days prior to bid opening and not later than 5:00pm on the last day. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any irregularities or informalities in any bids or in the bidding process.
