Site work and paving for a sidewalk / parking lot in Freeport, New York. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.

This project aims to implement Green Infrastructure practices at two (2) locations within the Village of Freeport. The first (1st) location is the southeastern parking lot at the Village of Freeport Municipal Building located at 46 N Ocean Avenue. And involves the reconstruction of the municipal parking lot to allow for the installation of central rain gardens as well as the construction of two small rain gardens at the pedestrian mall location. Construction at the municipal lot will include full depth asphalt pavement reconstruction (including minor widening of the lot into the eastern grass area), new curbing, installation of rain gardens, lighting, drainage, landscaping and signing (including proposed educational signage to demonstrate the benefits of Green Infrastructure). The second (2nd) location, is the Village of Freeport Pedestrian Mall located at the intersections of South Main Street/ Smith Street and Smith Street/ Henry Street. And involves the construction of two small rain gardens adjacent to the existing clock tower, along with the installation of decorative wood fencing within the rain garden, and incorporation of an educational sign. The estimated value of the work is $928,095 to $1,117,000. A complete set of Contract Documents may be viewed and/or purchased online from Camelot Print and Copy Centers. Only those Contract Documents obtained in this manner will enable a prospective bidder to be identified as an official plan holder of record. Contract Documents obtained from other sources may not be accurate or may not contain addenda that may have been issued. In addition, prospective bidders are advised that the Contract Documents for this Project contain new ''GENERAL CONDITIONS for CONSTRUCTION'' dated May 1, 2018 that contain significant revisions from those documents previously contained in DASNY's Contract Documents. Prospective bidders are further advised to review applicable sections of these General Conditions for any potential impact on their bid price prior to submittal of the bid.
