Renovation of a municipal facility in Southaven, Mississippi. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 4,543-square-foot municipal facility.
Summary Project Description: Renovations and repairs to the Desoto County Tourism Office building due to fire and water damage. A. Scope of demolition and removal work is indicated on drawings and specified in Section 02 4100. B. Plumbing: Restore existing system and equipment to operational condition. C. HVAC: Replace existing system with new construction. D. Electrical Power and Lighting: Replace existing system with new construction. E. Telephone: Replace existing system with new construction. F. Security System: Replace existing system with new construction Contract Time: 120 calendar days. Required Construction Start: Not later than 7 calendar days after Notice to Proceed. This bid will secure a construction company to provided renovations to the County's Tourism Building. The building was damaged by an auto accident and involved a fire. Bidders will be required to provide Bid security in the form of a Bid Bond in the amount of 5% of the Base Bid. 1. Bid Bond must be submitted to the office of the Desoto County Board of Supervisors prior to the time of the Bid Due Date. The Owner reserves the right to waive any irregularities, the right to reject one or all bids and the option to postpone action and final decision for a period of up to thirty (30) calendar days. *This project timeline has been extended due to the public health crisis.
