Site work and renovation of a civil project in University Place, Washington. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project; and for site work for a water / sewer project.

The work involves the replacement of existing assets, including two sluice gates, a light post, a wastewater level element, electrical for the aforementioned assets, miscellaneous pipe, and exterior hand railing. Work will also include the installation of an interior concrete coating and an interior work platform. To perform work inside the Headbox, the successful bidder will be required to construct and maintain flow bypass systems that will bypass all wastewater that normally flows through the Headbox structure. Work shall also include all necessary design work, submittals, drawings and calculations required for the Owner's submittal review procedure. Once the appropriate submittal review designation has been provided by the Owner, the Contractor will purchase and provide the approved equipment/products. The Contract Time shall be one hundred and eighty (180) calendar days from the date of the "Notice to Proceed." No Pre-Bid Conference will be held for this project. Each bid shall be accompanied by a Proposal/Bid Bond or a Cashier's or Certified Check made payable to the order of Pierce County, equal to five percent (5%) of the bid amount, as indicated in the Instructions to Bidders, Section A.2.1.12 of these Specifications. Proposed subcontractors must be licensed according to the state and jurisdiction where the Work is located. Contractor shall pay the prevailing rate of wages to all workers, laborers, or mechanics employed in the performance of any part of the Work in accordance with RCW 39.12 and the rules and regulations of the Department of Labor and Industries. The schedule of prevailing wage rates based on the locality or localities of the Work, is determined by the Industrial Statistician of the Department of Labor and Industries. It is the Contractor's responsibility to verify the applicable prevailing wage rate. Pierce County reserves the right to reject any and/or all bids or to waive as an informality any irregularities in any bid or in the bidding. Question Submission Deadline: November 1, 2024, 4:00pm All questions regarding the project technical details and specifications, clarifications and interpretations must be submitted within the Pierce County OpenGov under the Questions and Answer Section at least seven (7) calendar days prior to the deadline for bid submittal. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change.
