Site work and paving for a road / highway in Germantown, Tennessee. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
Work will consist of furnishing all labor, materials, tools and equipment to overlay existing walking trail and/or appropriate base material to create an even well drained recreational trail. 2. Existing base should be monitored during overlay for poor compaction. If an area is found to be unsuitable for asphalt the project manager must be notified immediately for a plan of action. 3. Any asphalt that connects to a hard surface such as concrete should be milled or removed so 1.5" (one and one half inch) of finish grade asphalt can create a smooth transition. 4. Place a 2' (two feet) compacted skirt of limestone gravel on both sides of the asphalt trail that will create a smooth transition from the top of the asphalt to ground level 5. All excess materials (asphalt, gravel) should be removed from jobsite at completion of the job Each BID must be submitted on forms provided in the BID PACKET DOCUMENTS provided and either accompanied by a BID BOND, properly executed on the form provided, or a Certified check or Cashier's check drawn on a National or Tennessee Bank in the amount of five percent (5%) of the TOTAL BID PRICE and payable to the City of Germantown. The CITY shall determine which is the lowest responsible and best BIDDER for the PROJECT and shall deliver to the successful BIDDER a NOTICE OF AWARD accompanied by the C & A and the Document forms to be executed and returned with the executed C & A. These Document forms include the PAYMENT AND PERFORMANCE BONDS and the CERTIFICATE OF INSURANCE COVERAGE. The successful BIDDER shall be required to return the C & A and the required attachments, properly executed, to the CITY within fifteen (15) days after receipt of same. Upon approval of same, the CITY shall forward the successful BIDDER a NOTICE TO PROCEED (Form Q). Deadline for Questions 1/6/2022 at 4pm CST The City may waive any informalities or minor irregularities. The Board of Mayor and Aldermen is the final authority and shall have the right to reject any single Bid or all Bids submitted.
