Renovation of an educational facility in Portland, Oregon. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.

All questions and contact with Portland Public Schools (hereinafter referred to as "District") regarding this ITB must be addressed in writing to the ITB Contact listed above. Any questions or issues that may arise regarding the Specifications, the bidding process, and/or the award process shall be directed to the ITB Contact. The District's official response to any questions or requests will be through the addendum process. Contact with other District staff without prior clearance from the ITB Contact listed above may result in Bidder disqualification. NEW ROOF AND FALL PROTECTION A. ARCHITECTURAL 1. Re-roof with SBS roofing and rigid insulation. 2. Where roof replaced, replace parapet coping. 3. Replace roof hatch. 4. Replace scuppers, gutters, and downspouts. 5. Install new coping and flashing. 6. Install new climb barrier. 7. Improve window sills at selected locations to accommodate new roof level. 8. Install roof fall protection anchors and lifelines to comply with OSHA standards. 9. Voluntary accessibility improvements to unisex and ADA accessible toilet rooms, parking lot, and accessible entry. 10. Ceiling repairs at select water-damaged locations due to previous roof leaks throughout the facility. B. STRUCTURAL 1. Install new plywood roof sheathing to increase diaphragm shear capacity on selected roofs. 2. Provide supplementary roof framing and connections as nec. for installation of fall protection anchors. 3. Install wall-to-roof connections and sub-diaphragms for seismic out-of-plane forces. 4. Demolish chimney. C. MECHANICAL 1. Install new rooftop mechanical equipment, including fans and vents with motorized dampers. 2. Demolish, relocate, or install related HVAC items within areas of work. D. PLUMBING 1. Provide new roof drains, roof overflow drains, and related piping. 2. Demolish, relocate, or install related plumbing items within area of work. E. ELECTRICAL 1. Provide new rooftop service outlet(s) at select locations. 2. Demolish, relocate, or install related plumbing items within areas of work. F. HAZARDOUS MATERIALS 1. GC to perform hazardous materials abatement in coordination with owner's hazardous materials consultant.
