Interior renovation of the Media Screening Room at Building 1P at the College of Staten Island. Asbestos abatement is required. New construction includes: new partitions, fire-rated doors, fixed audience seating, AV equipment, ductwork and VAVs, sprinkler heads and branch piping, light fixtures and finishes. Construction work includes, but is not limited, to the following: Abatement work includes the abatement of floor tiles and mastic Demolition work includes removal of gyp board walls, ceilings, lighting, ductwork, and finishes Architectural work includes new gwb partitions, doors, ceilings, and furnishings Mechanical work includes new duct work, registers, diffusers, and VAV box Electrical work includes new receptacles, lighting, lighting controls, outlets and conduit for data system and modifications to fire alarm system Sprinkler work includes relocate and add sprinkler heads Construction to run between June and December 2020. Construction costs are estimated between $650,000 and $700,000. The bidder or its principals must have completed five (5) contracts of relatively similar size, scope and complexity within the last ten (10) years or demonstrated an increasing ability to successfully complete contracts of incrementally larger size and scope within the last five (5) years.
