A firm timeline has not been established for the bidding and construction. *The previous solicitation is listed below for reference The Pawtucket School Department intends to convert Saint Leo’s the Great Church and Rectory into classrooms and supporting space for 10th graders approximately 250 students. Classrooms to accommodate 28 students with Teacher and Teachers Aid. Buildings are located at 697 & 699 Central Avenue, Pawtucket, Rhode Island. Existing church is approximately 9000 square feet with 6000 square feet upper level and 3000 square feet below grade, Rectory is approximately 6100 square feet on 3 levels. Church, Rectory, three car garage and school parcel consist of 46,259 square feet, construction budget is $3,500,000. Comprehensive Design Services The Owner intends to commission one firm to provide design services for the Pawtucket Annex Swing Space. The firm will have the responsibility to provide these comprehensive design services through the firm’s own capabilities and sub-consultants as necessary. It should be noted that this project will not only require the disciplines traditional included in architectural contracts, ie. Architectural, structural, mechanical and electrical, but also those associated with design of the site and building specialties of the project. Personnel with appropriate expertise will be required including a civil engineer. Other areas of expertise such as an educational planner, cost estimating, code research, lighting design, acoustical analysis, security and interior design as needed for the complete design of the project may also be required. This expertise must be provided by in-house personnel or through engaging sub-consultants as part of basic design services. The firm must provide all services necessary to comply with the RI Department of Education of Necessity of School Construction.
