For Water Gardens Fountain The scope of improvements for Part 1, the existing Water Gardens Fountain, the existing underground vault will be abandoned-in-place; the equipment will be removed; and, the vault backfilled with sand. A new above-ground pump house will be constructed at the northwest corner of the Selena Auditorium. The new pump house will contain new pumps and water quality equipment and new electrical systems and controls. The new pump house will connect to the existing fountain display and recirculation piping on the east side of the fountain. And, the existing fountain lighting will be replaced with LED lights. Part 1 Additive Alternate No. 1 includes the restoration of the surface of the existing fountain, waterfall and surrounding concrete flatwork. The restoration will also include concrete repairs, joint repairs, pressure washing, sealing, and restoration of the existing brass fountain nozzles. The scope of improvements for Part 2 includes the renovation of the existing Bayfront Park Fountain. It will be restored to operational status by replacing/ repairing non-functioning equipment and piping. Part 2 Additive Alternate No. 1 replaces the existing lighting system, if the current system is non-repairable. In addition to restoring the fountain operational status, Part 2 Additive Alternate No. 2 includes concrete repairs, joint repairs, pressure washing, and sealing fountain concrete surfaces. Part 2 Additive Alternate No. 3 includes the replacement of broken window glass in the kiosk buildings. Part 2 Additive Alternate No. 4 repairs four (4) wind features.
