Site work and paving for a civil project in Corpus Christi, Texas. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; bridge / tunnel; and water / sewer project.

This project includes the reconstruction of approximately 5,400 LF of Laguna Shores Road from Mediterranean Drive to Wyndale Street with new HMAC (Base Bid 1) or Concrete (Base Bid 2) pavement. Also included are the expansion of Yorktown Ditch, replacement of culverts, replacement of water infrastructure, and replacement and rehabilitation of wastewater infrastructure. Bidders may submit bids on either Base Bid 1 or Base Bid 2 or bot. Bidders are advised to refer to Request for Bids Section 5 of the bidding documents for a list of required bid submittals. Failure to submit or upload all required documents may result in an irregular or non-responsive bid submittal. Bidders must submit an acceptable Bid Security with their Bid as a guarantee that the Bidder will enter into a contract for the Project with the Owner within 10 days of Notice of Award of the Contract. The security must be payable to the City of Corpus Christi, Texas in the amount of 5 percent (5%) of the greatest amount bid. Bid Security may be in the form of a Bid Bond or a cashiers check, certified check, money order, or bank draft from a chartered financial institution authorized to operate in the State of Texas. Bidders submitting bids electronically shall scan and upload a copy of the Bid Security as an attachment to their bid. The original Bid Bond, cashiers check, certified check, money order or bank draft must be enclosed in a sealed envelope, plainly identified on the outside as containing bid documents, the bidders name and the job name and number and delivered as required in this Section. Insurance/Payment and Performance Bonds - After award of the contract insurance certificates along with applicable Payment and Performance bonds will be required to be submitted for approval before work can begin on theproject. Insurance must comply with the Insurance Requirements outlined in this RFB. Bonds must comply with Texas Government Code 2253 and be in the form approved by the City Attorney. Failure to provide the required Performance and Payment Bonds will result in forfeiture of the Bid Security to the City as liquidated damages.
