Demolition, site work, paving and new construction of a bridge / tunnel in San Rafael, New Mexico. Design plans call for the demolition of a bridge / tunnel; for the construction of a bridge / tunnel; for site work for a bridge / tunnel; and for paving for a bridge / tunnel.
As of September 27, 2023, a design team has been identified. A construction timeline has not been established yet. *The previous solicitation is listed below for reference. .................. This is a bridge replacement and road improvement project. The current bridge crossing is failing and needs to be replaced with a new bridge. The prior engineering design, contract documents and specifications were 100% complete in February of 2017. This design is for a prefabricated bridge. The design will need to be updated and in full compliance with current NMDOT standards. This project will address the purpose and need by building a new bridge to modern design standards and assuring the safe travel over this sandstone and shale crevasse that is susceptible to catastrophic failure.
