The Project consists of: Various repairs across 16 scattered 2-story, wood-framed residential duplexes. Exterior work includes roof replacement, siding replacement, and door & window replacement. Interior work includes repair and/or replacement of bathroom fixtures, vanities, vinyl flooring and bathtubs. Patching and painting at all areas of work. Note: The project requires interior access. The Notice to Proceed for this project may be issued as much as 90 days from the date DHCD approves the construction contract General bidders must be certified by the Division of Capital Asset Management and Maintenance (DCAMM) in the category of General Building Construction Subtrades: Section 07 50 00 - Roofing and Flashing Section 09 90 00 - Painting This project is being Electronically Bid and hard copy bids will not be accepted. General bids and sub-bids shall be accompanied by a bid deposit that is not less than five (5%) of the greatest possible bid amount (considering all alternates), and made payable to the Worcester Housing Authority. General bidders must agree to contract with minority and women business enterprises as certified by the Supplier Diversity Office (SDO), formerly known as SOMWBA. The combined participation benchmark reserved for such enterprises shall not be less than 13.0% of the final contract price including accepted alternates. Request for waivers must be sent to DHCD (david.mcclave@mass.gov) 5 calendar days prior to the General Bid date if the work is estimated to cost less than $500,000 OR 10 calendar days prior to the General Bid date if the work is estimated to cost $500,000 or more - NO WAIVERS WILL BE GRANTED AFTER THE BID DATE.
