The City of Cambridge is seeking responses to this request for proposal from experienced heritage contractors. This includes masonry restoration for all type of heritage masonry (included but not limited to stone, brick, terracotta); restoration of metal elements (materials included but not limited to copper, lead-coated copper, steel); restoration of wood and metal windows; restoration of heritage wood. The objective of restoration is to conserve as much historic fabric as possible and therefore materials will be retained and repaired. Contractor companies should exhibit a minimum of 10 years of relatable heritage experience. Personnel should have minimum of 5 years of relatable experience in the specific categorized of restoration - masonry, metal work, woodwork. The prequalification process will select contractors to be placed on the City's Vendor of Record (VOR) list. Only the contractors selected will be eligible to bid on the City's heritage solicitations for the years 2020, 2021 and 2022. Proposals should address the items noted in the terms of reference. Your response MUST include the requirements outlined within the Terms of Reference and completed CCDC11 document. Responses that do not include all requested information will NOT be considered.
