A firm timeline for construction has not been established. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: CR Number: 2064135 The State University Construction Fund is seeking Statements of Qualifications from consultants to provide design and construction administration services for a 148,125 GSF rehabilitation of the Physical Education Building at the State University of New York at Albany. The work will involve hazardous materials and asbestos abatement, selective demolition, new windows, ADA upgrades, interior partitions and finishes including acoustical treatment, new and modified mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire alarm, telecommunications and security systems. Applicable program studies will be provided to the selected consultant. Phasing will be required during construction. Separate construction bids will be necessary to accommodate the different types of work, i.e. reconfigure space to accommodate two departments: The Department of Athletics and the Office of Campus Recreation locker room renovations and offices. Design services will initially proceed to Schematic Phase for the entire project and the first construction phase is expected to be 20% of the whole project. Upon review, evaluation and approval by the Fund, the first phase and the remainder of the project may be release for continuation of Design Services. The estimated construction value for the first construction phase is $11 - $12M. The estimated construction value for the entire project is $55 - $60M.
